Mar used to blog, once upon a time. Then it got blocked at the office for some bogus reason (honestly. There was no offensive content on her blog. I'm pretty sure.), and I think that kinda killed it for her a bit. Well, it's blocked no more.

It's been close to 5 years since Marianne and Jesse got married. (Where does the time go?) For a long time it's been like Jesse was just part of the gang. The Sloan kids have had lots of fun times playing over the years. To be honest, they've sort of been a great part of why we have so much fun together-- they're always inviting and making others a part of the good times. (Think of the many camping trips, for starters...)

With the addition of Addie to the family, it feels (to me, at least) much more like they are their own family unit. Still part of the gang, but more distinctly their own branch of both the Knight and Sloan clans.

So I felt it appropriate to help get a new blog rolling for them, using the domain that Jesse registered for Mar nearly 3 years ago. Of course they can still post here as they see fit, but how great for them to have their own blog to keep people up to date on their own little family specifically.

Converted to Vinyl

So, cousin Heather McKinlay has been doing vinyl lettering on walls for a few years now, something I thought looked nice, but didn't see myself getting into. (Let's be honest, I couldn't see myself getting into any kind of home decorating at all.) In any case, with the baby's room nearing completion (little by little), I thought some white words on that green wall would be cool. So this is what Heather helped me do:

And the cute baby outfits keep coming. Seems that every girl in the neighborhood is stoked to have a baby girl around, and I think I've gotten over my pink phobia. Here's a cute one:

And just so this post isn't completely baby-centric, I had to post this picture, because it makes me laugh. Even though I was afraid they'd break my couch, it's almost nice to see them back at it. It's like Kate's officially home. :)
