Random Sights

Every now and then, you see something that makes you scratch your head and ask yourself, "What on earth...??"

Two such moments occurred a few weeks ago. One night, I was just starting my commute home from downtown when I noticed the people in the cars around me glancing down an almost dark alley. I inched forward to see what everyone was looking at, and I saw this:

Do you see the girl in the wedding dress?? Who DOES that??? "No, I don't want my bridals taken in a scenic park or a nice building; I think I want them taken down a dark alley." Somehow, it has an artistic ring to it... a little artistic, a LOT bizarre.

Then, a day or two later, I was out and about with mom and Mar, when Mar suddenly says "We have enough youth - we need a fountain of smart." I started laughing and asked how she came up with that. She pointed to this sign: (WARNING! This picture might make you want a chocolate-whatever-concrete really bad!)

Well, it did the trick - we stopped on our way home for some frozen custard. MMMM... chocolate almond concrete...

hmmm... for some reason the wedding pic won't show up. sounds crazy, tho. with any luck she'll get divorced and married again and be able to take those pictures over.
anyway, that sign is pretty clever - heaven knows there are a lot of stupid people out there. I'm still hoping for a Matrix-like knowledge download system in the future. man, that would be so cool.

DANGIT... Mike, can you fix it so that the bridal picture shows up??? I don't know how to go back in and do it! I'll screw it up!
mmm... custard... has anyone tried a flavor other than chocolate? I'd hate to get strawberry or vanilla and be totally disappointed...

Bumbleberry Concrete is the way to go, if they still have it.

fixed. Don't put spaces in the image file names =)

That said... sounds like fun. You could probably get attention any number of ways horsing around in an alley. How about dressing up in Jedi robes and having a light saber battle... or dress up like a ghost or something. Cooler than some random bride any day ;)

Custard-- if we just made regular trips I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem trying lots of different flavors, hmmmm?

got the pic (thanks mike) - so strange!

hahaha, maybe that's where they first met.

Bumbleberry Concrete? I gotta admit, I'm curious...
Thanks for fixing that pic, Mike!! Now I know not to put spaces in the file name! :)

heeble? who reads blogs at 6 in the morning?! Or was that after you awoke with a tune in your head at 5:30am, in which case that's ok.

yeah, that's that morning. don't worry, it's just a fluke.

RANDOM!!!

So do they actually sell concrete, or are they referencing the hardness of their custard?
