Wow, Shawn's been out 4 months and in Estonia for about 2 months now-- where does the time go? I finally downloaded the pictures off his memory card-- this one was kinda cool. I also found a few bits in his most recent e-mail entertaining. Apparently the weather is starting to get better there, and it's reflected in the light-heartedness of his writing:
Well, Kate, the time soon comes to taste the sweet joys of the MTC. By this I really mean the delicious chocolate milk and the Wednesday afternoon Banana Splits. MMMM.... good times!
So how are my two best friends doing? and I don't mean my pals in the Winnebago! [referring to Bindy Bob and Bobo, of course]
Dang. I don't remember ever having Banana Split Wednesday when I was in the MTC. It does sound delicious... it also sounds like Shawn is drinking Kool-Aid like a champ. Anyone who served with me knows what that's all about, heh.
I'll end with a bit-o-testimony from Elder Sloan:
Not one of us is a worthless, we are all children of our Father in Heaven, He loves us ALL, wants us ALL to return to live with Him. I am so happy to be able to share that with people that feel hopeless, when really there is a plan for them...
Amen. God be with you, Elder.

That picture looks matrix-ish! I really enjoyed Shawn's last e-mail - I laughed so hars when he said he was 'so stinkin' cheery' - I can just see him! Awwww... Shawnie...
Seriously. I miss that kid too. I'm glad to see him enjoying his mission so much... and drinking koolaid like a champ ;) Speaking of which... i guess I should send him a package this week....
Jeff tells me the secret is an ironing board. Cheap!
yes, the trick is an ironing board, don't get discouraged though, someday I will do that for real :)...
the kool aid is amazing, I drink it in a 1.5 liter bottle WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR... yeah... sweet.
I am so glad this isn't negative speaking here... I bet I am blushing right now, hahaha
love you all though, I will keep up on reading this blog
